The policies below apply to every client and partner using the services of KIX Software Co., Ltd., covering game development, mobile applications, websites, enterprise management software and artificial intelligence solutions.
1. Information security policy
KIX is committed to protecting client information absolutely. Data you provide through our contact form, by email or during a project is used solely for consulting, quotation and delivery; it is never shared with third parties without your written consent. For projects with heightened confidentiality requirements, KIX is ready to sign a non-disclosure agreement before detailed discussions begin.
2. Intellectual property and source code handover
Upon acceptance and full payment, complete ownership of the product — source code, design files, technical documentation and system accounts — is handed over to the client. KIX does not reuse project-specific source code for other clients. Any open-source libraries are listed explicitly with their licences in the handover documentation.
3. Quotation and payment
Every project receives a free assessment and quotation within 24 business hours of receiving complete requirements. Cost, scope and schedule are fixed by contract before work begins. Projects are divided into phases with clear payment milestones; the client only pays for the next phase once the previous one has been accepted.
4. Warranty policy
Every product developed by KIX carries a minimum six-month technical warranty from the handover date. Critical faults affecting operations receive a response within 4 business hours; other issues within 24 business hours. The warranty does not cover faults caused by third-party modification of the source code, by the client’s own infrastructure or by changes in external platforms.
5. Support and maintenance
After the warranty period, clients may choose a recurring maintenance plan covering operational monitoring, security updates, data backup, performance tuning and new feature development. KIX keeps the team that knows the project so every upgrade request is handled quickly without relearning the system.
6. Website terms of use
